When was chocolate invented?

You should be aware that chocolate is a product that we inherited from our distant ancestors, who, not without reason, believed that it was able to give clarity to the mind, bring pleasure and enhance mental abilities.

Historians say that chocolate is native to Latin America (Guatemala, Mexico, etc.) and was first eaten around a thousand years BC. At first, the cocoa product was bitter, since it was actually a decoction of beans with a small addition of sweet extracts.

Some of the tribes who revered such a drink more than others were the Mayans and Aztecs.  They were the ones who invented the chocolate with pepper. How did they sweeten the water? It’s very simple, they added corn cobs to the pots when cooking, because they guessed that they contained sugar.

The fashion for exotic chocolate came along with the era of great geographical discoveries.  There is even a specific date called for the spread of cocoa beans around the world – 1519, when the famous Spanish conquistador Hernan Cortez landed on the shores of Mexico. Kind local residents honored the guest with a wonderful delicacy, and he liked it so much that he took a bag of grain with him.

From this moment until the discovery of white, milk and dark chocolate, there is very little time left.

Where was chocolate invented in butter?

In Holland, in 1828, one of the scientists came up with a special machine that could squeeze out cocoa butter from cocoa beans.  In order to filter the oil from the peel and husk, a special device was also invented, now it is called a filter.

Further, this bitter fatty consistency was placed in a cold place so that it turned into a kind of butter in the form of a bar.

Where did you come up with the chocolate bar?

A little more time passed, and in France and Great Britain people thought of using the mixture after cocoa pressure and cooling, in order to cut them into bars and transport them without problems. Historians believe that the first such tile was made by confectioner Jean Pietre.

As time went on, many different types of chocolate began to appear. It is not known for certain who invented white chocolate, but we do know that we invented it around the same time.

Who invented chocolate milk?

On this issue, the opinions of historians differ, since the official data claim that the invention of such a drink is the merit of Sir Hans Sloan, a botanist from Ireland. It is believed that he made such a discovery in Jamaica in the 1700s.

However, in fact, there is confirmed evidence indicating that in fact, the locals brewed a similar sweetness long before it.
