What is Microdosing?

The meaning

Microdosing mushrooms contains the practice of consuming very low doses of a psychedelic substance, such as psilocybin-containing mushrooms. The other name is «magic» mushrooms. In fact, it is a class of drugs.

So, the US government banned the usage of hallucinogenic drugs in 1968 because of increasing panic in society. The studies in this area were stopped. 

A real renascence of researches in the area of psychedelic substance happened in mid-2000s, thanks to  Johns Hopkins University in the USA. The results of studies showed that psilocybin reduced the symptoms of depression in 80% of patients with cancer. Furthermore, it helped patients quit smoking with a combination of cognitive-behavioral therapy. 

In 2009 Dr. Carthart-Harris became the first British scientist, who used a brain scan in order to study how psilocybin affected on brain function. The results of this study were published in Scientific Reports Journal and confirmed, that psilocybin affected in two areas of the brain, which form emotions like anxiety, fear, and a chain of passive brain function.
